Ben Hoffman

Ben Hoffman is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh studying Politics & Philosophy and Mathematics-Economics. As such, he finds public policy and its short-fallings fascinating. Special education has always been largely ignored in education policy, but the omission has grown as of late due to recent governmental budget cuts. In writing on this blog, Ben will attempt to raise awareness for special education so that those affected by it won’t continue to be overlooked.

   WHO WE ARE

Caroline Kelly

Caroline Kelly is a Communication Science and Disorders major researching technology use in therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum. While many articles seek to peg technology as damaging to children, she will explore the benefits for this specific population of children with their educational differences in mind.

Alyssa Ferguson

Alyssa Ferguson is focusing on the need for a sexual education reform in this country. After experiencing different educational districts within multiple states throughout primary and secondary education, she has been intrigued by the contrasts that exist within each educational environment.  She enrolled in social education courses at the University of Pittsburgh and has since been interested in further spreading the message of the harm caused by current sexual education programs.
